Home to more than 1,000 animals, all of them ambassadors for their species in the wild, Lincoln Park Zoo is one of the last free zoos in the country. Open 365 days a year from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the zoo is free every day. Lincoln Park Zoo is a privately managed institution supported by the Chicago Park District and many individual, foundation and corporate donors.
